My local go to spot.
Their caldo de res (beef soup) is soooo good! I always call in first to see if they have it. The shrimp soup was meh so I would skip that but definitely get the beef soup if they have it. Chunks of tender beef, potatoes, carrots, cabbage and corn. So good!
Their wet burritos are amazing too! I always order the pollo asada (chicken) with extra sauce on the side.
I also love their tacos. -

Stopped at Mi Durango for dinner. There is parking on the street. It's a small restaurant with 5 or 6 tables. Looked like there was a counter and stools outside too.
I ordered the chimichanga with carnitas (pork). My husband ordered caldo which is beef vegetable soup. Both dishes were wonderful. This is one of the better Mexican restaurants we've eaten at, very authentic. Just good food!
The service was good. My husband wanted just a little bit of rice to put in his caldo. She have him some at no charge, very nice.
Good food, good service. This restaurant exceeded my expectation; I didn't expect to find great Mexican food in San Bruno. I would definitely recommend this place. -

I like Mexican food and this taqueria right here i use as a baseline to compare others. Parking is easy to find on el Camino and i never have problems any day or time. Staff is friendly and courteous. Place is kept clean. Salsa bar is well kept. Not that much room for a big group but there are tables inside and outside. Food is excellent.
This particular visit was on national French fry day so we ordered steak fries and carnitas fries. Kids got tacos. Fries were cooked nice and crisp but not burnt. Carne asada is always well flavored here. The carnitas is well seasoned as well and i always get mine extra crispy. Soooo sooo good lol. Tacos were great! I think i want to go there right now haha.
If you haven't been here you guys are missing out. -

When it comes to size and value, Mi Durango definitely hits the mark. Their super burrito is definitely filling and for under $10 is a pretty good deal.
From a flavor standpoint, the carne asada was OK. I like my carne to be on the crispy side and theirs just didn't have the type of texture I look for. The sour cream and quac were very minimal, which had my burrito needing more salsa because it was on the dry side. What I did like was that they grill their tortilla, which adds a nice crunch texture.
The salsa bar was great, 4-5 different options. Their orange is a haberno, which wasn't too hot, but had a lot of flavor.
The staff was very courteous and makes sure your order is made how you want it. From the type of tortilla, type of beans, a spice level of salsa, they customize to what you want. Chips don't come with your order, but can be had for an additional 0.50. Not a bad option for a meal under $10, just not my 1st choice for carne asada burritos in San Bruno. -

Came in to the store, was immediately greeted, and felt welcomed. Ordered three chorizo tacos, and they were AMAZING. On top of that, the customer service was exquisite. Will definitely be returning soon. :)
